Colorado Merit Scholarship for Continuing RRCC Students

The 2020-2021 Colorado Merit Scholarship is for the continuing RRCC student who has earned a cumulative RRCC grade point average of 3.25 or higher, and demonstrates motivation and commitment to higher education. Applicants must meet ALL the following requirements to apply.

Eligibility Requirements:
• Be working on an Associate Degree or a Certificate Program of at least 16 credits in length and be Title IV aid eligible. (Students who have already earned a Bachelor’s Degree are ineligible.)
• Have a cumulative RRCC GPA of 3.25 or higher.
• Have completed a minimum of 12 credits at RRCC.
• Provide an unofficial copy of your RRCC college transcript.
• Be a Colorado resident or ASSET student, and eligible for COF (Colorado Opportunity Fund).
• Be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.
• Submission of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is highly recommended.

Additional Scholarship Information:
• Students must enroll for a minimum of 6 credit hours at RRCC during the fall and spring semesters and maintain a cumulative 3.25 grade point average.
• Students must be meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) to receive the scholarship. See the Financial Aid Office for more information.
• The Colorado Merit Scholarship will cover up to $1,000 in tuition and fees per semester, based on credit hours. The award will be adjusted accordingly for enrollment in less than 12 credit hours.
• The scholarship is awarded for the fall and spring semesters. It will not be applicable for the summer semester unless there are extenuating circumstances approved by the Director of Financial Aid.
• Completion of this application does not guarantee an award. Eligible applications will be reviewed and will be evaluated on a number of criteria, up until all funding is spent. See the Financial Aid Office for additional restrictions.
• This scholarship cannot be combined with any of the following awards: Community Leaders Scholarship, 1st Generation Scholarship, or Warren Tech Scholarship.
