Forward Steps

The Forward Steps scholarship is for former foster youth. The application priority deadline is June 1st for the following aid year each year. The application takes about 5-10 minutes to complete. Visit https://www.forwardsteps.org/become-a-scholar/ for details.

This scholarship is for foster youth attending public college in Colorado, applying for the first time before their 26th birthday. (Foster youth are those who can provide Confirmation of Foster Care Dependency or other documentation showing time spent in foster care). Our scholarship provides assistance of up to $6,000 per academic year to cover any unmet financial need while attending college. Funds are disbursed during the Fall and Spring semesters based on academic performance and Forward Steps’ program participation.
In addition to the financial assistance, scholars will receive one-on-one mentoring and support throughout their college experience.
